If you are a international student and want to apply for a student loan and have a co-signer from US. International student loans require a US citizen or permanent resident with Green card holder as a co-signer. The loans are credit-based, meaning the co-signer must have good credit history, good employment history, and must have lived in the US for the past two years. Although not everyone can find a family member, friend or other US citizen or permanent resident to co-sign for them, for those that do, they can access private student loans on the same basis as US students.

I agree with the reply above. It's not just easy to find a co-signer. But if you have a family member or friends in the US, it's a big advantage. You can take a look at grants and scholarships if you want. ^___^ Good luck!

How do I find a legitimate loan shark in las veags for a personal business loan? I recently (past few years) has a long, nasty and expensive divorce which resulted in a personal bankruptcy. I need a small business loan but my credit prevents me from obtaining one. I need to find someone for a short term loan. Any serious ideas?

Hi, I'm Sujay, from India. I have been accepted into the MBA program at NYU Stern beginning this year, but require a cosigner to apply for an education loan. In my home country, the total amount of loan any student can take is capped at USD 43,000. Is there any American citizen/PR willing to help me?
