^ That is my plight.

I was wondering if anyone here might know of any sponsorships/scholarships/loans that are available to international students wanting to study in Canada?

The government of Canada offers various scholarship programs for international students, check out their website

http://www.cbie.ca/scholarship/index_e.cfm

Besides the government programs, you can also contact the schools you are applying, each school has it's own programs.

Please put in mind that it's highly competitive for scholarship, you should be well prepared, i.e. GPA, academic activities, recommendations from professors, the major you want to study. In general, you will have better chance to get a financial aid if you study graduate degree, i.e. Master, PhD.

Please let me know with any questions.

Since you are Australian citizen, another option for your is to apply for Working Holiday visa, it allows you to work and study full time in Canada for one year, meanwhile, you can save up some money for tuition fee and change to student visa the second year, since you already have working experience in Canada, it should be easy for you to get a part-time job for the second year. In most of the cases I know, that helps alot. Of course how much you will need for tuition fee depends on which program and school you are going to attend. Let me know if you need more information on Working Holiday visa and student visa.

Hi,

I am from Vietnam. I graduated from Foreign Trade University in 2008 with the distinctive rank. My major is International Business.

My working experience in summary as follows:

- I took internship at HSBC Vietnam - Department of Commercial Banking
- I have worked for British Council Vietnam as a Projects & Communication Assistant for 5 months
- After graduation, I joined and worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers Vietnam for 6 months. After that i got seconded to PricewaterhouseCoopers Malaysia for 6 months. Until now, I have been working at PricewaterhouseCoopers for 1 year and 1 month.
- I am studying GMAT and IETLS and will take exams next year - 2010

In summary, I am planning to go for my master degree at the end of 2010. Could you please advise if i could get any scholarship based on my background. Honestly, I really feel stressed out when i keep searching the information regarding to scholarships. Could you advise me on this? I highly appreciate it!

Additionally, I am considering among University of Western Ontario (Richard Ivey school of business), University of Toronto or University of British Columbia. I am pretty sure it would be so competitive to apply for scholarship at those universities. So i really need your advices! Please counsel me!

Thanks so much,
Christine,
