Before you travel to Britian contact your host family and ask the following questions? 1. Has the organisation ever sent a person to visit you at home? 2. Have you signed a Children's Act Form? 3. Does the organisation offer a special person you (the host family) can call on for help outside office hours? 4. have you been asked to provide food, if so what? 5. Are you an arrival family? (Arrival families are sometimes used when an organisation cant find anyone to host you permanently) 6. Do you work night shifts? Will I ever be alone overnight in the house? 7. Have you had information about me? How did you choose me to host? 8. Did you complete a full host family profile that I will receive before I come to stay with you? 9. Do you speak English in the house? 10. Have I got my own private bed?
If you think that you have been allocated a host family that you are unsure about say NO! And even if you are not travelling with us please contact us and we will always to to help you.
