Hi!
I have finished my Certificate Level in Nursing in my country, Nepal where to join the bachelor level in nursing I needed to have two years of practice in medical field, which I have completed and now I am here in UK studying diploma in health care management (September 2009 to September 2010) with a dream of studying bachelor in nursing, but what I have found is to join bachelor in nursing in UK, it is a bit difficult with a long journey, where now I fear of loosing more time and money.
My questions are.. * As I am a international student in UK, it is possible to try a bachelor in nursing field in Australia? -If it is possible then how can I deal with visa criteria? (Could you please show me the ways how to apply it?)

Hi Cadbury,
If you have completed nursing studies in Nepal, as well as some additional studies in UK, you would be eligible to apply to an Australian University for their Bachelor of Nursing program. Generally it requires three years of undergraduate study to become a registered nurse in Australia. If you have a nursing license from overseas, it may be possible to obtain some recognition of the studies you have already done. Every Australian university will have their own guidelines about granting credit for overseas nursing qualifications.
For information about applying for a visa to come to Australia, you should refer to the Department of Immigration and Citizenship website as the requirements can be different for each country and the type of course you want to come for.
Best wishes, Elissa Australian Catholic University
