Hi, I'm in the UK and I couldn't find any information on this site about high school exchange? I'm currently 15 soon to turn 16 and I want to study in the USA sometime before I turn 18 on a short or long stay. But I can't seem to find any information ont his, as i'm sure your aware, compulsory education in the UK stops at 16, so I guess if you choose to take 6th form or some sort of college education untill your 16 your still elligible otherwise not?
Thanks for your message. Generally speaking this site is geared toward university study, but I would be happy to make a couple of suggestions.
Most HS exchange programs require application and interviews at least a year ahead of time. Most, but not all of them, also cost something to participate.
There are both short-term and long-term exchange programs avialable. The other possibility is to look for a private school in the U.S. that can admit and issue the visa paperwork for international students, and has housing available. This would be the most expensive option and would require some etenisive searching.
Do a Google or Yahoo search on "high school excahnge programs to the US" and you will come up with a whole list of options to investigate.
Good luck!

Hello- we just hosted and exchange student from France for his final year in Highschool. It was a Rotary International Exchange and it was a great experience for us and for our student, Many times he told us it was the bestthisng he ever did, it changed his life forever.....
Contact a Rotary International office in your city and see what they say.
I agree with the last posting. I was a Rotary Exchaneg student in high school myself. It is very competitive to get a spot, and overseas, there could be some financial obligation (depending on the country), but it is definitely worth checking into this possibility!
