Hi, I am an international student from Trinidad and I left secondary school a few years ago and have been working ever since. I am 25 years and I would really like to start studying in the FALL of 2011. I took the SAT two years ago and received MATH-720 CR-570 WRITING-620. I want to study chemical engineering and I need as much financial aid as I can possibly receive. I am planning to re-take the SAT in November and I was wondering if you could give me an idea of what score I need to get to be accepted to study what I want and receive as much aid as possible. I know that the score required varies with each university and I need to have high MATH and CR scores. I am aiming to do my best in the SAT exam but I would like to have a general idea of what score I should be aiming for so that when I receive my results, I will know what universities I should apply to. Thanks for your assistance.

Thank you for using the Forum. You ask a good question, but unfortunately, there is not a good answer. Not all US univesities offer scholarship and those that do all have their own requirements. You need to search for a list of schools that you are interested in and who offer your degree and major. Then, you need to search their web sites to see if they offer scholarship and if so, what are the qualifications.

Here are a couple of search sites:

http://www.petersons.com
and
http://www.studyusa.com

Good luck!

Jim
